:: games ::

I'm really an 80's games guy, but there are games of latter making that suits my preference and I won't go around saying they are 'too young' for me. There's really no age of consent when it comes to games. ;) So I'm gonna get some nice mobos with carts that I find fun to play. I have a NEO-GEO system motherboard and a Jaleco Mega 32 motherboard.

CPS2 B-boards: | Progear (Conversion)

NEO-GEO
carts: | Aero Fighters 2 | Best of AT#1 | Blazing Star | Last Resort | Metal Slug
| Metal Slug 2 | Metal Slug X | Metal Slug 3 Metal  Slug  4 | Puzzle Bobble | Shock Troopers

Shock Troopers 2nd Squad | Sonic Wings 3
Jaleco Mega 32 carts: |  P-47 Aces

Got this from a local collector for a Progear cart I'm waiting for. The noisy fan will be replaced by a silent Papst one. I will probably not get any more games for it but you never really know, right? :D

Gonna use the RCA connectors to hook this up to my cabinets subwoofer.

My first (and probably only) CPS2 game, the magnificent Progear. This is a converted Euro cart running the Japanese version of this game, so all the voices are included, but the service menus are in Japanese.

A reason to have one monitor horizontal!

I bought this from a swedish enthusiast that just had ran out of enthusiasm. It came equipped with the Universe BIOS v. 2.3. Apparently it has some difficulties recognizing some carts as what game they really hold. My Puzzle Bobble cart for instance is identified as Ninja Combat, making it impossible to change the language from Japanese to English. Well, you don't have to know Japanese to play that game anyway. :D  That's not really my motherboard on that picture, I'm gonna take a nice photo of it soon. More info and even more info

Cheap multi-MVS cart that lets me play Metal Slug 5 in my mobo. The 16 games:

Aero Fighters II, Alpha Mission II, Andro Dunos, Captain Tomaday, Ghost Pilots, Metal Slug 5, Neo Bomberman
Nightmare in the Dark, Prehistoric Isle 2, Puzzle Bobble, Puzzle Bobble 2, Puzzle De Pon, Shock Troopers, Strikers 1945 Plus, Windjammers, Zed Blade

Bought from a swedish enthusiast. A very cool shooter, but the gameplay is redicilously hard at times. And then you see "Hey poor player" on screen. Not exactly ha-ha-funny.

When the game programming companies that I used to love in the eighties went all vs fighter game mad, this game showed up from nowhere and brought fresh air into the 'run and gun' genre. Thank you, Nazca guys forever, for creating this, the best action game series of all time. I bought this MVS cart from a special japanese associate to the swedish arcade community in a nice little business venture reffered to as 'Japan-deal'.

Hey, I've got some nice artwork with this. Pictures here and here.

The first Metal Slug was of course a great success for the guys at Nazca, so they got to do it all over again. This time they put a bit too many things into it, causing crazy slowdows. They solved that by releasing Metal Slug X. See below in my game list.

Bought from Fuijita, the japanese arcade PCB store of my preference.

This is one of the best games of the series. It's basically a tight remix of Metal Slug 2, with different pacing (the overall game maps are switched around), new weapons and a great set of evil new foes.

My very first MVS cart, before I even had a motherboard to test it on. I got this at a very affordable price from some nice people in New York, New York. . More info

What a beautiful, cool and funny series of games this is. I know that there's a Metal Slug 6 out there for the MVS system, but that's really only a hack. I only "need" 1-5.

Oh, what an instantly classic game this is. I for one did not put much cash into it when it first arrived. I guess I'm just not smart nor dilligent enought to enjoy this game, but it's great to have, especially when you live with three girls. I guess this is a japanese MVS cart, since everything in the game is in japanese. Ironically, the label is in english. I got this from Fuijita when I bought my Metal Slug 2 MVS cart.

Bought this from a swedish enthusiast for a very nice price including the game cart Tetris Plus 2. I'm gonna try to find P-47 Aces also for this system. It's really cool.

Only played this in MAME until I found it in Japan. I've always loved the original from 1988 and this is a pretty much faithful update. Not as good as before, but OK.
