:: games ::

I'm not really a collector of rare or expensive arcade games, I just try to find the games I've always loved and still feel the need to play once in a while. If I can find it cheap enough, that is. eBay really is my friend, but sometimes I buy stuff from Japan as well. And from other swedish enthusiasts. Below is my collection of arcade PCB's (Printed Circuit Boards) with some nice pictures of the games as well as the boards itself.

I've realized that browsing this long list is quite time consuming, so I've added direct links to the games instead:

Vertically orientated games:
| Aero Fighters | Battle Garegga | Daisenpu  /  Twin  Hawk | ESPGaluda | ESP Ra.De.
|
Gals Panic | Gemini Wing (Bootleg) | Ibara | Out Zone | Sky Shark (Bootleg) | Space Pilot
|
Storm Blade | Strikers 1945 | Super Qix (Bootleg) | Twin  Cobra | XX Mission

Horizontally orientated games:
|
Argus No Senshi | Black Tiger | Hammerin' Harry | Hacha Mecha Fighter | Heavy Unit
Ninja Kid II | P - 47 - The Phantom Fighter | Perfect Billiards | Rolling Thunder
|
Secret Agent | Silk Worm | Solomon's Key (Bootleg) | Three Wonders

Fun, cool shmup from Video System Co. There are two sequels to this game for the Neo Geo system, but I think I'll settle for this for now. Got this from a swedish seller.

This is one of my favourite games for sure. It's not easy to get into, as the scoring mechanic involves suiciding (to get bombs) and lots of other fancy stuff like bombing ground objects (like bushes!!) and what might look like ordinary tiled, backgrounds. I love it.

I got this to a very nice price from the Japanese arcade-shop, Fuijita as a group of swedish enthusiasts did a co-order from them. It was originally Daisenpu, but with some romswapping it's now a Twin Hawk. I really love this old shooter. Best two-player shmup ever.

Bought this from TonyTwoFinger, a good friend and fellow enthusiast. This is my current favorite vertical shooting game. I traded my Atomiswave system for a PS2 so I could play it, and then I sold my Dragon Blaze so I could buy this PCB. Very accessable and addictive, ESPGALUDA is one of CAVE's finest games and in my current price range. The prequel to ESP Ra.De. A must have for any shooting game fan.

I really never got the whole CAVE-hype, until I visited a friend who owns some nice 29" cabinets and LOTS of great shmups. This really is the way to go for this genre. I consider this one of the finer items in my collection.

This was the very first simultaneous 2-player game I ever played. The weapon system is ingenious and music, graphics etc. is as expected from Tecmo - the best. I've searched really hard to find this board, in fact I gave up on finding an original as it was so hard and settled for a bootleg.

This is one of my biggest games ever. The graphics, the music, it's all good.. I bought this nice bootleg with three other games for a very nice canadian guy on eBay. I finally got my hands on it's sister game, Twin Cobra now as well.

Fell head over heels in love with this at a gamenight over at madness place once. I have finally gotten my hands on a working PCB. At least I think so, I haven't gotten my adapter to test it yet. One of those games that you can just keep on playing, again and again.

I got this on eBay. This game is like the missing link between 1942 and 1943, but in space! The powerup system is just like in 1943, but UPL (always very creative) came up with it before Capcom did. You get a powerup and when fired upon, it changes. Plus, did I mention it's by UPL?!

Here are some cool extras that I got with this game:
Marquee | Bezel | Manual | Harness

My all time favourite game! I can't even beging to describe how great it is. Bought as Rygar from the US, romswapped into an Argus No Senshi(The Japanese version), since that's just a way more fun version of this game. I do have a JAMMA-adapter to it now, and I'm gonna try to get a score higher than my MAME one @ 4 .5 million points. Check out the Rygar fan site!.

This if by far my favourite Capcom game. It's filled with secret bonuses, challenging gameplay (yet not in a clumsy way like in Ghost n' Goblins). Too bad it takes me on average 1.5 hours to play 1 credit. Got this from an excellent eBayer in the US.

I bought a Rad Action pcb a while back and found out that the sound is decrypted with a suicide CPU. I wanted sound, so I got this (possibly a bootleg, we don't know that for sure) Ninja Kid II without decryption. Too bad that the gameplay is rediculously hard in this revision of the game.

I'm guessing that licensing the "James Bond" moniker for this game had been very expensive, and since it's just so perfect in capturing that cool spy vibe anyway that doesn't matter. Also known as "Sly Spy", this Data East item is pure gold. Bought from swedish seller.

It's current retail price is around $400 if you find a working original. Mine is an OK bootleg, so it costed me a tenth of that. The original were made both as Tehkan compatible and as JAMMA, so I'm glad mine is based on the latter. Too bad my sound is broken. I'll try to get it fixed. Another fantastic Tecmo game.
